On the morning of June 5th, 2010, we began our trip to the USA, to New York City to be exact. It was a fine Saturday morning around 7:20 a.m.
Itinerary: Sofia – Paris (CDG) – New York (JFK).
In the end: lack of sleep for more than 20 hours; nothing lost during the flight; a white freesia bouquet still beautiful and fresh after the long 9-hour trip.
First memories: JFK airport (but let me tell you that after Charles de Gaulle airport nothing could scare us anymore); the humidity (mmm, yep, definitely something to remember); strangely acting shuttle drivers… and the freesia smell which is also a part of our memories.
First words: Мe: “I can not breathe!”, Him: (silence).
First impressions: Moving to the USA for four months and landing in New York, no, it’s not fair. And do you know why? Because it wasn’t our final destination. Our first stay was for a few hours and that’s how we saw it:
We promised ourselves that we would come back again. And we did it. Twice. And since then I hope that one day we will visit it again.
And what was your first impression of New York? I will be very happy if you share your story with me 🙂
See you soon,
M.

New York is a great city. Here you can find every shade of life. Much more to learn from NYC life.
I loved New York! I was there for the first time in January this year and it snowed. I will always remember walking through Central Park being surrounded by snow!
I can’t wait to read part 2.
Maggie, that’s great… sounds like a movie scene…I’ve been in June, in July, and in September, definitely will not miss the winter season if I have this chance.
I loooove NYC! Can’t wait to see pt.2!
Thank you! I love NYC so much and it is always a pleasure to write and talk about his city!
aww June 5th is my birthday! I loved New York the first time I went with my family. I LOVED Central park
Wow, you are Gemini, nice 🙂 Central park is one of my favorite green places, too!
My first impression was of it very dark so I didn’t see too much!! LOL The morning was clear and it just felt HUGE! We didn’t get to explore it much but we cannot wait to go back!
Haha, I want to go back, too! NYC is never enough! 🙂
