Hello, everyone! While selecting the pictures for today’s post I realized how much time has passed since our four-month stay in the States. Lots! And a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. This is exactly the reason that when I wondered what to write about and how to express the emotion of the day I couldn’t. Maybe the pictures will speak for themselves.
The motorcycle week in Wildwood, NJ is an event to remember, not only for the visitors to the city but also for the participants. I remember that it was really noisy and intense because like many other events the Motor Week in Wildwood is really popular amongst the Americans. I saw all that passion and real happiness on the streets. As we, Bulgarians, are kind of the opposite and can’t really enjoy the little things – or at least it was so last time I checked – I’d like to share with you this event.
There’s nothing spiritual or sublime here, it’s even super material and commercial, but still… We’re here to enjoy the little things! And the people I saw there were really happy and proud of what they had even if it was just a bike (well, for me it is just a bike, probably for them is a lot more). Dressed in leather, with clothes worn on their heads or on their faces, with fringed pants, with fuel veins and beer in their hands. This was the reality – truly American, as we saw it through our amazed Eastern European eyes.
Have you ever been visitors to this kind of event? Please, share your thoughts here!
