We had a real blast while visiting the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey, just a few minutes from downtown Philadelphia. The aquarium features amazing exhibits and it shows the water realm in such an interesting and interactive way.

We’ve been told that the Adventure Aquarium is the only aquarium in the world to exhibit hippos. We saw them they are really cute. Also one of only six facilities in the US to have Little Blue penguins as permanent residents. So we were ready for something exceptional. We also enjoyed one of the longest Shark Bridge in the world and one of the largest collection of sharks on the East Coast. Diving into the world of the sea turtles and sea snakes, we loved the hippo haven, penguins, and we even were able to touch starfish and stingrays. We were incredibly amazed at every step of the way.

The most iconic place for us at Adventure Aquarium stayed the Ocean Realm Exhibit where visitors come face-to-face with 760,000 gallons of seawater and so many sea species. It was spectacular.

It was an amazing day adventure and we definitely recommend you to visit while in Philadelphia. If my words weren’t so convincing, here are the 20 pictures that will make you want to visit Adventure Aquarium. Enjoy!

Wow! I want to go! Great photos of the hammerhead shark, sea horse, and more. The jellyfish and sea nettles are always my favorite to watch. They’re so peaceful.

Looks like an amazing aquarium to visit – we have a really tiny aquarium in our town, the biggest fish is a rock fish, and my kids can spend hours there checking out the fish. I can’t even imagine how much they would love visiting this aquarium – especially the penguins.. It’s a little far for us though, seeing as we’re on the west coast lol.
