In the morning of June 5th, 2010, we began our trip to the USA, to New York City to be exact. It was a fine Saturday morning around 7:20 a.m.
Itinerary: Sofia – Paris (CDG) – New York (JFK).
At the end: lack of sleep for more than 20 hours; nothing lost during the flight; a white freesia bouquet still beautiful and fresh after the long 9-hour trip.
First memories: JFK airport (but let me tell you that after Charles de Gaulle airport nothing could scare us anymore); the humidity (mmm, yep, definitely something to remember); strangely acting shuttle drivers… and the freesia smell which is also a part of our memories.
First words: Мe: “I can not breathe!”, Him: (silence).
First impressions: Moving to the USA for four months and landing in New York, no, it’s not fair. And do you know why? Because it wasn’t our final destination. Our first stay was for a few hours and that’s how we saw it:
We promised ourselves that we would come back again. And we did it. Twice. And since then I hope that one day we will visit it again.
And what was your first impression of New York? I will be very happy if you share your story with me 🙂
See you soon,
