I’m trying to practice yoga #everydamnday even while I am traveling. No matter it’s 10 minutes of breathing technics before or after sleep or it’s two hours active yoga practice, the persistence is everything. The last om trip that we organized was to Bordeaux and I am going to share with you the best yoga places that I found there. If you are heading to Bordeaux do not miss to connect with the yoga community in the city. There are plenty of inspirational yoga studios where you can meet new friends like it happened with me.

Since I got so attracted by the yoga I have started to seek for like-minded people everywhere I go. During my last om trip to Bordeaux, I did a research to find a yoga studio best suits me during our one week stay in the French city. And I found it.

Yoga with you

Address: 38 Quai de Bacalan 33000 Bordeaux

This sunny blue door welcomed me and warmed my soul before even crossing it. When I have decided to dive into the French yoga practice, I choose Yoga with you for many reasons. The location is great, close to the banks of the Garonne river and the Hangars, a crossing point for many activities in Bordeaux. The design and the interior of the place are simply amazing, a successful mix of natural materials and light. In a building with typical architecture of Bordeaux, the studio has its own spirit and serenity.

I choose “Carte curieux” (Curious Card) for three visits of my choice which costs me only 25 €. I had the chance to visit three different teachers and three different yoga practices. That’s how I confirm my positive opinion of this place. I had an amazing time meeting and practice with Élodie Caillaud who guided me in the Yoga Nidra Class, a very deep and powerful experience. Hélène Mainguet and Anouk Corolleur were the two other yoga teachers who I choose for the Vinyasa practice.

The best part of all this was that I overcame my fears and took all the yoga classes in French. That was a totally different Universe, trust me. Four years already I am practicing in English and in Bulgarian and when I hear the guidance in French, it was like a real meditation to me. I was totally relaxed and focused. I met real professionals and I was so happy. That was a lifetime experience! Do not miss it.

Other yoga studios to visit, yoga practices in English

Finding a yoga studio in Bordeaux is not a difficult task and the good news is that it is not necessary to speak French like me. Here is a short list of places offering yoga classes in English, if you aren’t adventurous enough to take a yoga class in French 🙂

Moon Yoga

Yoga Vita

Yoga Pop

After all the remarkable moments that I had in Bordeaux for sure I can point the city as one of the top yoga destinations for me. Which is your favorite yoga destination? Share in the comment section below.

I was into yoga, especially before my kids. It does do wonders to your body, isn’t it?

You have to continue! It really does wonders, not only to your body but to your mind, too.

The interior of that yoga studio looks absolutely amazing. I’m not much into yoga, but I could imagine doing yoga in a beautiful French city would be both amazing and relaxing.

    Thanks for sharing! x
